Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I invite you to help us celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the church during the month of September. Beginning on Sunday, September 13, we will be sharing memories, joining in the singing of old time Gospel hymns, and hearing from some of our previous pastors. Our third graders will receive a Bible, and we will have a blessing for our church teachers.
Bishop Julius Trimble will share with us via video words of congratulations. Our District Superintendent, Rev. Terra Amundson will bring a greeting and share a prayer.
On our final Sunday of celebration, September 27, we will share in a potluck meal following worship.
All of this and more will be happening at the Oakland United Methodist Church on the 13th, 20th, and 27th of September. You are an important part of our celebration! Please join us to worship and praise our Lord and Savior and to give glory to God for 150 years of ministry.
