SEPTEMBER, 2018 NEWSLETTER
Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ
Don’t get me wrong I love summertime especially this summer as Diana, Will and I did some different stuff, went different places and took a trip down memory lane. But there are times I long for September. Part of my wish for September is I love watching football whether it is the Riverside Bulldogs, Iowa Hawkeyes or the Los Angeles Chargers. I am always ready for game day.
But September is also when us United Methodists come out of hibernation and the things we put on hold last spring begin again. For example: Men’s Prayer Breakfast is going to meet on the 8th; Sunday school starts on the 9th; Youth Group will start on the 19th; the choir will sing on the 16th. Oh, blessed are these days! Attendance goes up and the energy of the church goes up as well. It is exciting to be in the church any Sunday out of the year, but September Sunday mornings seem extra special to me as I pray they also do for you.
So, if you have had a busy summer and we haven’t seen you in awhile come join us. We got some special people who are doing some special things in the name of the Lord. The Spirit is moving, God is blessing, and the people are praying, singing and worshiping in our own unique special way that is transforming lives! It’s called the Gospel and it has made a difference in our life and we want to share so come join us. If there isn’t room, we will make room so see you Sunday!
